Mission Statement

Son-Life Church is a body of born-again Christians who have been called by God into a covenant with Him and with one another, assembled to serve one another for the building of the church, and commissioned to collectively and individually demonstrate the Kingdom of God upon the earth.

Vision Statement

Purpose #1

Membership into Son Life Church is contingent upon an individual's acceptance of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and his subsequent water baptism.  Having fulfilled these scriptural requirements to enter into the Covenant of Grace as defined in the New Testament, covenant with a local assembly is then the privilege and the responsibility of every Christian.  Both covenants are governed by the Word of God to which both the individual believer and the local eldership are charged to diligently seek to apply that Word into all situations.

Purpose #2

Within this covenant community, all believers seek to serve one another from a pure heart and love unfeigned.  Each believer is encouraged to use his God-endowed giftings and talents to the benefit and blessing of his neighbor for the purpose of the whole assembly becoming more thoroughly equipped and more diversified in expression toward the goal of doing the work of Jesus in the earth.  The individual is not only responsible to fulfill his part in the Kingdom of Christ, he is also privileged to share in the collective vision of the local church and to contribute his finances, prayers, and labors to ensure that the God-ordained purposes for the assembly are accomplished.  The responsibility to establish and communicate the direction of the church rests upon the pastor and the local eldership.

Purpose #3

The demonstration of the Kingdom on the earth flows from the individual believing in God's precepts and applying those precepts into every domain of his life.  Also, the Kingdom is manifested to the earth as the church leavens and salts its community by proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel of the Kingdom into every sphere of life in that community.  Believing that Jesus has been enthroned to rule as king over all the kingdoms of the earth, we as His ambassadors declare His word as the governing principles for every sphere of man's activities and as the measure by which all men shall be judged.

Believing that His Kingdom is an ever increasing Kingdom whose dominion shall expand from generation to generation, the church must embrace a multigenerational vision and must train up the children in righteous living, equipping them for future victories.   Because scripture delegates the main responsibility of training children to the parents and because spiritually healthy children come from spiritually healthy families, the church must provide an environment for the deliverance from sin and for growth in godliness.  Corporate ministry times of worship and teaching, personal sessions of counseling, strong relational ties which develop as people share lives, the oversight of local eldership, and the impartation of the giftings of the five-fold ministry establish a firm platform for the Christian's growth and development.
